MIST Small Business Summit July 28, 2015

Join us for the next Marine Industries Science & Technology (MIST) cluster Small Business Summit on July 28, 2015 at Stennis Space Center.  The July event will focus on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s Gulf of Mexico Program and the US Geological Service’s Hydrologic Instrumentation Facility.  Attendees can sign up for all or selected parts of the Summit’s program.

  • 9:00am Stennis Tour:  Buses will take interested parties for a windshield tour of Stennis Space Center to familiarize visitors with the many agencies and activities on the Federal City. The tour is limited to 25 attendees, so register early!
  • 10:00am How to do Business Workshop:  This workshop will provide information on doing business with federal agencies and large companies.  Details for traditionally large contracts and small-business set-asides in and around Stennis will be provided.
  • 10:30am EPA’s Gulf of Mexico Program
  • 11:00am USGS Hydrologic Instrumentation Facility (HIF)
  • 11:30am MIST Contract Update
  •  12:00pm Lunch:  Lunch is available for $15 per person.  Use this time to network with other attendees.

Register below for any or all parts of this event.  Lunch will be available for $15 per person, payable at the door (cash or check only please).

By registering for the $15.00 provided lunch, you are making a commitment. If your attendance plans change please notify Belinda Gill at 228-688-3144 or belinda.n.gill@nasa.gov by July 24 so the food order can be modified. Those that register and do not give a cancellation notice will be invoiced for the registration cost.

Please register no later than noon on Friday, July 24, 2015. This helps us determine our numbers for lunch and also ensures a visitor’s pass for those without a Stennis Space Center security badge.

ATTENTION

A special note to our Louisiana visitors to this event – as of late July, Louisiana is one of the states that has not complied with federal Real ID regulations. A Louisiana driver’s license is not an official ID when obtaining a visitor’s badge at any federal center. When you come to Stennis, an alternative ID will be needed to get a badge for the day. Acceptable IDs are:

  • Federal employee badges
  • Passports
  • Military identification cards
  • Enhanced Driver’s Licenses
  • U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Card
  • Native American tribal document
  • CAC card
  • TWIC card

If you are with the media or are an elected official please notify our office in advance.

Foreign Nationals must register a month in advance.
