The MIST Cluster along with its sister organization the EIGS Geospatial Cluster are proud to host the first stop of the SBA SBIR-STTR Road Tour’s South-Central tour aimed at fueling technology growth and development in the nation. The U.S. Small Business Administration’s SBIR Road Tour which provides an opportunity for participants to meet one-on-one with federal SBIR Program Managers to discuss funding and technical areas of interest offered by the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and related Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs.  

 

These programs annually award out over $2.5 billion in contracts and grants to small businesses to undertake research and technical innovation development projects meeting a federal agency’s mission needs and that also have commercial potential. Lunch will be provided – Sponsored by the USM Gulf Park Campus. After lunch, there will short seminars on various tools to help your company enter the business market and consider opportunities under other government programs.

One-on-one Meetings with Federal SBIR/STTR Program Managers

Slots are limited and available on a first come first serve bases. After you have completed your online registration for this event you will receive a confirmation email. The confirmation email will provide you with instructions on signing up for the one-on-one meetings. One-on-one meetings will be available with the following federal agencies:

  • Department of Commerce – National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
  • Department of the Navy
  • Department of the Air Force
  • Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
  • National Science Foundation (NSF)
  • Missile Defense Agency (MDA)
