This month’s Lunch & Learn will feature the newest MSET Corporate Residents and Affiliates.    Brief presentations will be provided by five companies to help you stay apprised of the corporate capabilities onsite at Stennis and in our region.  The presentations will feature:

  • EMCO Technologies (EMCO) – one of the larger small IT companies in Louisiana, with capabilities in telecommunications, as well as Motorola radio sales and service. EMCO is a subcontractor to SAIC under the NASA Integrated Communications Services contract.
  • Holliday Construction – a veteran owned, small Mississippi-based business, specializing in heavy construction and disaster response.  The company has been performing work at Stennis Space Center since 2002 and currently holds an IDIQ contract with NASA.
  • Management and Engineering Technologies International, Inc. (METI) – a small, disadvantaged professional services company providing information technology (IT) and engineering support services to the federal sector and private industry.  Their new local presence will assure High-Fidelity environments in the trainers/simulators being procured for NAVAIR.
  • QinetiQ North America (QNA) – a large business with an office at Stennis supporting 50+ professionals providing services to Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO), and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).  Expertise includes oceanography, acoustics, mapping and charting, the use of remote sensing in research, and scientific software development.
  • S&B Infrastructure (SBI) – a large business holding a 5-year Architect/Engineering (A/E) Services IDIQ contract with NASA Stennis, which will involve numerous task orders involving upgrades to Stennis grounds and test stands. SBI’s most current project involves design for renovation of the electrical lighting system of the B2 Test Stand.

Learn more about the capabilities of these companies – they may be able to help satisfy the small business goals of larger contracts or local government agencies.  Company representatives will be available for networking immediately following the presentations.

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 9th in the Logtown Room of Building 1100.  Lunch and presentations will begin at 11:30am, with networking to follow.
