-- DQSI Wins Major Levee Construction Task Order August 31, 2006 - DQSI Corporation was awarded by the United States Army Corp of Engineers a major, $4.56 million, contract for levee hurricane protection levee construction. The scope of work of this task order is to construct approximately 2 miles of levee embankment and berms of the existing Jefferson Parish Lakefront Hurricane Protection Levee within the Reach 1 area between baseline stations 7+00 and 116+00 by placement of embankment to design grade and section, construction of new access road with embedded separator geotextile and surfacing material, surfacing of ramps and fertilizing, seeding and mulching. Embankment will be excavated from the Bonnet Carre Spillway.
