High Performance Solutions (HPS) Wins Navy Contract

High Performance Solutions, Inc. (HPS) was recently awarded a five-year, multi-million dollar contact for the maintenance of the power and cooling systems for the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO). The contract allows HPS to continue their work at Stennis which began in 2002.

HPS, a small company headquartered in Slidell, LA, is a certified HUBZone business with two offices onsite at Stennis Space Center, one of which is provided through the Mississippi Enterprise for Technology (MSET) Corporate Resident program. Although the firm is a HUBZone-certified small business, the recent award represents their competitiveness, as it was a competition open to all small businesses.

“We are overjoyed to be able to continue our work with the Navy,” states HPS President and CEO Clay Harper. “Our experience with the Navy’s power infrastructure is very unique. We were also on the ground when Katrina hit and made sure critical Navy systems remained up and running in the aftermath. The experience gave us the label of ‘Hurricane-Proof,’ a title we are quite proud of. We are very much looking forward to the next five years with the Naval Oceanographic Office.” HPS was recognized by Stennis federal agencies and the Governor of Mississippi for their efforts in sustaining operations following Hurricane Katrina.

HPS provides an aggressive maintenance and monitoring service in support of continuous power, as well as daily on-call personnel who are available 24/7 in the event of an emergency. Their support is not limited to Navy systems; HPS provides support to NASA through the Facility Operating Services Contract (FOSC), currently held by Jacobs Technology and maintain what are determined to be ‘the most critical buildings at Stennis.’ “Our average response time during off hours is 32 minutes. In dealing with critical systems, the website quicker you can be on-scene, the better chance of identifying a problem before a potentially devastating power loss,” Harper stated.

With this award securing their core work at Stennis, the company is now looking for partners on other upcoming opportunities in and around the Stennis area. To learn more about HPS, contact Harper at 228-688-5059.
